Online Counselling &
Psychotherapy
I offer attachment-based psychotherapy to individuals, parents, and counsellors in training, with a focus on building strong emotional connections and fostering healing. My approach centers on creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your feelings, experiences, and relationships.

I am highly experienced and have a special interest in working with perinatal mental health and genetic diagnoses, offering flexible online therapy that fits into your life. Whether you're navigating the challenges of pregnancy, parenthood, or dealing with the emotional impact of a genetic condition, I’m here to support you.

Let’s work together to help you find balance, resilience, and meaningful change.

Perinatal Support
Pregnancy, birth, and early parenting bring unique challenges, but you don’t have to face them alone. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, postnatal depression, or adjusting to the demands of parenthood, I offer a safe space to work through your emotions and find balance. As a member of MumsAid, I have experience supporting Mums from diverse backgrounds through all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

We can work together on:
-
Prenatal anxiety and depression
-
Preparing for your baby
-
Understanding antenatal testing results
-
Recovering after birth
-
Managing postnatal anxiety and depression
-
The impact of parenthood on relationships
-
Previous miscarriage or baby loss

I also offer specialized support for miscarriage and baby loss, providing the care you need during this incredibly difficult time.

I have additional training and experience in supporting clients through the pain of miscarriage and baby loss. This is a profoundly difficult time for both parents, and I am here to provide the compassionate support you need.

My previous experience as a Genetic Counsellor in the NHS gives me an understanding of the challenges experienced during antenatal testing, results, and their implications. You can also seek further support from Antenatal Results and Choices (ARC), who provide impartial information and support.

Genetic Conditions & Rare Diagnoses
With over nine years as a genetic counsellor in the NHS, I understand the complexities of navigating life with a genetic diagnosis. This past experience includes managing clinical trials and research in the NHS, particularly in Huntington's Disease through Enroll-HD and Legato-HD and working with clients affected by hereditary cancers, including BRCA and Lynch Syndrome.

At Saiyna Therapy I am experienced in supporting clients with a personal or family history of Huntington's Disease, Batten's Disease, Bardet-Biedl Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis, and other rare diagnoses.

Together, we can explore:
-
Living with a genetic diagnosis or supporting a loved one
-
The impact of predictive testing
-
The emotional toll of caregiving
-
Family planning options like prenatal testing, IVF, and surrogacy
-
Coping with inheritance and survivor guilt
-
Navigating family dynamics
-
Grief, loss, and bereavement

My experience extends to supporting parents of children with complex medical needs. I also collaborate with organizations like the Huntington's Disease Association (HDA), offering valuable advice and support to those affected by Huntington's Disease.

I share my experiences in my Blog in hopes to raise awareness of these complex topics. I have successfully supported clients across these areas, helping them build resilience, manage stress, and improve their overall mental well-being. I believe in creating a supportive, empathetic space where you can work toward meaningful change. If you're facing any of these challenges, I’m here to help.
Let’s work together toward healing and resilience.
