Thoughtful books. Meaningful conversations. Genuine professional connection.

The Saiyna Circle is a free, relaxed space to meet with fellow professionals over coffee and explore books that deepen how we think about people, relationships and therapeutic practice.

A different kind of professional gathering

Professional life can sometimes feel busy, solitary and focused on the next task, client or training requirement.

The Saiyna Circle offers something slower.

Once a quarter, therapists and helping professionals come together in a local Kent café to discuss a carefully chosen book, exchange ideas and enjoy thoughtful conversation with others who value relational depth, curiosity and lifelong learning.

There is no formal teaching, no presentation and no pressure to be an expert. You are simply invited to read, reflect and join the conversation.

Who Is This For?

The Saiyna Circle welcomes:

  • Counsellors and psychotherapists

  • Trainee therapists

  • Clinical supervisors

  • Coaches and helping professionals

  • Professionals interested in relationships, attachment and emotional wellbeing

You do not need to practise from a particular therapeutic modality, and you do not need to be an attachment specialist.

The Circle is for people who enjoy thoughtful books, reflective conversations and connecting with others who care deeply about their work.

Frequency: Quarterly
Location: A café in Kent, UK
Cost: Free
Format: Informal book discussion over coffee
Places: Limited to keep the conversation personal

Attendees purchase or borrow their own copy of the selected book. Food and drinks can be purchased directly from the venue.

Our First Book

Narratives of Attachment, Danger and Survival

By Linda Cundy

Saturday 3 October 2026  10:30-12:30
Kent — venue to be confirmed
Free to attend

Our first Saiyna Circle book club will explore Linda Cundy’s work on attachment, danger and survival.

Together, we will reflect on the ideas that stayed with us, the questions the book raised and how its themes might influence our understanding of clients, relationships and ourselves as practitioners.

You do not need to prepare a formal response or understand every chapter. Come with your thoughts, questions and curiosity.

Purchase your copy of Narratives of Attachment, Danger and Survival by Linda Cundy and join us ready for an engaging discussion.

New to the book? Watch Linda Cundy introduce the key themes and ideas in this free webinar before joining the discussion.
